Surah 53:2
"Your companion has not gone astray, nor has he erred,"

The Quran claims in this self-referential statement that the messenger speaks by inspiration (waḥy). The following verses (6–18) seem to refer to a vision; but again, the meaning is uncertain because of many pronouns without antecedents.
