A detailed picture of the “Gardens of Bliss” in the hereafter dominates this sūra, painted deftly by short verses often of only two or three words. Punishments are also graphically portrayed but not as extensively. A later part of the sūra poses a series of questions that may remind the reader of God’s questions to Job in Job 38–41.
