Opposing Verses
Surah 90:17 → "Then he has become one of those who believe, and (who) exhort (each other) to patience, and (who) exhort (each other) to mercy."
Surah 90:18 → "Those are the companions on the right."
Surah 90:19 → "But those who disbelieve in Our signs, they are the companions on the left."
The Quran provides differing descriptions regarding the number of groups humanity will be sorted into in the Hereafter. While some verses state that humanity will be divided into two groups, often referred to as the companions of the right and the companions of the left, another verse indicates that people will be sorted into three distinct classes.
