Surah 6:101
"Originator of the heavens and the earth – how can He have a son when He has no consort, (and) when He created everything and has knowledge of everything?"
6.101 – how can He have a son when He has no consort... ?
With this question, the Quran seems to claim that it is impossible for Allah to have a son (walad) because he has no consort (ṣāḥiba). Though there is no mention of Christians in the verse or its context, this line of questioning is common in many Muslim-Christian conversations. If Christians are indeed in mind here, they could ask a return question: When God the Father called Jesus his Son in the Gospel accounts, did he mean to imply a relationship between God and a woman?
