Surah 6:5
"They called the truth a lie when it came to them, but the story of what they were mocking will come to them."
6.5 – They called the truth a lie when it came to them
Throughout this sūra, the main response of the audience is resistance to the messenger’s message. Many passages seem to reflect what the listeners say, along with the answers the messenger gives or is commanded to give.
The messenger warns the audience to observe what happened to earlier communities who ignored Allah’s signs and resisted the preaching of their messengers (vv. 6, 11).
