Surah 6:63
"Say: ‘Who rescues you from the dangers of the shore and the sea? You call on Him in humility and in secret: “If indeed He rescues us from this, we shall indeed be among the thankful.”’"
6.63 – Who rescues you from the dangers of the shore and the sea?
The messenger draws attention to the way in which Allah saves people from dangers on land and at sea. This is another sign of Allah’s presence and power. However, the people are ungrateful and continue to serve other gods.
The language of salvation (najjā, also in v. 64) usually appears in stories about figures familiar from the Old Testament.
