لَن تَنفَعَكُمۡ أَرۡحَامُكُمۡ وَلَآ أَوۡلَٰدُكُمۡۚ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ يَفۡصِلُ بَيۡنَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِيرٞ
Neither your family ties nor your children will benefit you on the Day of Resurrection. He will distinguish between you. God sees what you do.

There was a good example for you in Abraham, and those who were with him, when they said to their people, ‘Surely we are free of you and what you serve instead of God. We repudiate you, and between us and you enmity has shown itself, and hatred forever, until you believe in God alone’ – except for Abraham’s saying to his father: ‘I shall indeed ask forgiveness for you, but I have no power from God to (benefit) you at all’ – ’Our Lord, in You we put our trust, to You we turn (in repentance), and to You is the (final) destination.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا جَآءَكُمُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتُ مُهَٰجِرَٰتٖ فَٱمۡتَحِنُوهُنَّۖ ٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِإِيمَٰنِهِنَّۖ فَإِنۡ عَلِمۡتُمُوهُنَّ مُؤۡمِنَٰتٖ فَلَا تَرۡجِعُوهُنَّ إِلَى ٱلۡكُفَّارِۖ لَا هُنَّ حِلّٞ لَّهُمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحِلُّونَ لَهُنَّۖ وَءَاتُوهُم مَّآ أَنفَقُواْۚ وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ أَن تَنكِحُوهُنَّ إِذَآ ءَاتَيۡتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّۚ وَلَا تُمۡسِكُواْ بِعِصَمِ ٱلۡكَوَافِرِ وَسۡـَٔلُواْ مَآ أَنفَقۡتُمۡ وَلۡيَسۡـَٔلُواْ مَآ أَنفَقُواْۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ حُكۡمُ ٱللَّهِ يَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَكُمۡۖ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٞ
You who believe! When believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them – God knows their belief – and if you know them to be believers, do not return them to the disbelievers. They are not permitted to them, nor are they are permitted to them. Give them what they have spent. (There is) no blame on you if marry them, when you have given them their marriage gifts. Do not hold to ties with disbelieving women, but ask (back) what you have spent, and let them ask (back) what they have spent. That is the judgment of God. He judges between you, and God is knowing, wise.
Promotes Division & Discrimination
The verse institutionalizes strict religious segregation by commanding the severance of interfaith marriages, declaring that believing women 'are not permitted to them [disbelievers], nor are they permitted to them.' This nullification of existing family ties based solely on belief establishes a profound social boundary against non-Muslims.

The verse treats marriage as a transactional exchange by instructing Muslims to 'give them what they have spent' (reimbursing the Mahr to the former disbelieving husbands), essentially treating the woman's marital rights as a commodity to be bought out.
