Surah 62:2
"He (it is) who has raised up among the common people a messenger from among them, to recite His signs to them, and to purify them, and to teach them the Book and the wisdom, though before (this) they were indeed clearly astray"
– He (it is) who has raised up among the common people a messenger from among them
The Quran claims in this self-referential verse that Allah sends the messenger and his recitations. Whose voice is speaking in verses where both Allah and messenger are described in third person, and there is no command to the messenger to “say” what Allah dictates?
This expression, to “raise up among them a messenger from among them,” first appears to the reader in the prayer of Abraham at 2.129, and another verse very similar to 62.2 is found at 3.164.
