In striking contrast to the profile of “the prophet” and “the messenger” in several of the sūras since Sūra 57, the messenger of Sūra 67 is only “a plain warner.” The sūra draws attention to the Creator’s power and provision and warns of punishment for the ungrateful on the Day of Judgment, but it makes no special claims for the messenger.
