Surah 7:137
"And We caused the people who were weak to inherit the land We had blessed – the east (parts) and the west (parts) of it – and the best word of your Lord was fulfilled for the Sons of Israel, because they were patient. And We destroyed what Pharaoh and his people had been making and what they had been building."

Surah 7:129 → "They said, ‘We have suffered harm before you came to us and after you came to us.’ He said, ‘It may be that your Lord will destroy your enemy and make you successors on the earth, and then see how you will act.’"
Opposing Verses
Surah 5:26 → "He said, ‘Surely it is forbidden to them for forty years, while they wander on the earth. So do not grieve over this wicked people.’"
Did the Children of Israel wander the earth or inherit the land? Some verses state they were forbidden the land and made to wander for forty years, while others state they inherited the eastern and western parts of the blessed land.
