Surah 7

Surah 7:2

"A Book sent down to you – so let there be no heaviness in your heart because of it – in order that you may warn by means of it, and as a reminder to the believers."

The sūra opens with direct address to the “messenger,” to encourage him and to claim that his recitations are “sent down.” Such seemingly self-conscious verses, set in the second-person singular, begin many sūras in the 10–46 range.
