Surah 71:28
"My Lord, forgive me and my parents, and whoever enters my house believing, and the believing men and the believing women, and increase the evildoers only in destruction!’"
– My Lord, forgive me and my parents In the Quran, biblical characters often ask God for forgiveness. Noah’s request in this verse matches his prayer in 11.47, where he asks forgiveness for complaining about the fate of his son. At the same time, the Quran contains no reference to the rather embarrassing scene in Genesis 9:20–25. See the analysis of the requests of quranic prophets for forgiveness at 48.2.
