Surah 73:1
This sūra takes its name from an expression in the first verse, meaning “enwrapped one.” This way of addressing the messenger, as it is understood in Muslim tradition, also begins the following sūra. The trend in sūras at this point is toward increasingly short sūras with shorter verses. Sūra 73, however, ends with a verse much longer than all the others.

73.1–2 – You, enwrapped one! Stay up through the night, except a little
The first fourteen verses of the sūra are addressed to “you” (supposedly the messenger), first prescribing a seemingly rigorous nighttime worship regimen.
