"Surely We have sent to you a messenger as a witness over you, as We sent to Pharaoh a messenger."

73.15 – Surely We have sent to you a messenger . . . as We sent to Pharaoh a messenger

The Quran compares the messenger to the messenger that God sent to Pharaoh. Just as God dealt harshly with Pharaoh, so too he will he judge those who disbelieve in the warnings of the messenger. Notice that the Quran refers to Moses without giving his name (also 44.17–33).
