Surah 2:29 → "He (it is) who created for you what is on the earth – all (of it). Then He mounted (upward) to the sky and fashioned them (as) seven heavens. He has knowledge of everything."
Surah 41:10 → "He placed on it firm mountains (towering) above it, and blessed it, and decreed for it its (various) foods in four days, equal to the ones who ask."
Surah 41:11 → "Then He mounted (upward) to the sky, while it was (still) smoke, and said to it and to the earth, “Come, both of you, willingly or unwillingly!” They both said, “We come willingly.”"
Surah 41:12 → "He finished them (as) seven heavens in two days, and inspired each heaven (with) its affair. And We adorned the sky of this world with lamps, and (made them) a protection. That is the decree of the Mighty, the Knowing.’"
Surah 41:9 → "Say: ‘Do you indeed disbelieve in the One who created the earth in two days, and do you set up rivals to Him? That is the Lord of the worlds."
Does the Quran state that the heavens or the earth were created first? Some verses state that the earth and its provisions were created before the heavens were fashioned, while other verses indicate that the earth was spread out after the heavens were built.
