This is a widespread linguistic fallacy. Classical Arabic dictionaries and foremost exegetes (such as Al-Tabari and Ibn Kathir) universally define 'dahaha' as 'to spread out', 'to flatten', or 'to expand'—consistent with a flat-earth cosmology. The connection to an ostrich egg stems from a completely different noun derivative associated with the *nest or resting place* an ostrich clears in the sand, not the shape of the egg itself. Morphing 'flattened out' into 'oblate spheroid' is a linguistically illegitimate attempt to force concordance with modern spherical geometry.
