Surah 8:31
"When Our signs are recited to them, they say, ‘We have already heard (this). If we wished, we could indeed say (something) like this. This is nothing but old tales.’"
8.31 – If we wished, we could indeed say (something) like this
In response to the recitations of the messenger, the “disbelievers” (v. 31) seem to say they could speak the same words because they are familiar with the stories.
