Surah 8:52
"(It will be) like the case of the house of Pharaoh, and those who were before them: they disbelieved in the signs of God, so God seized them for their sins. Surely God is strong, harsh in retribution."

The Quran very briefly refers to the story of Pharaoh’s people (vv. 52–54), apparently to suggest that the enemies in battle have the same “disbelief” and will also be destroyed “for their sins.” A second suggestion seems to be that the signs ( āyāt ) of Allah through the Quran’s messenger are comparable to the signs through Moses.
