98.6 – Those – they are the worst of creation
Epithets like “the worst of creation” invite poor relationships and can be used to rationalize mistreatment and violence. By contrast, the Bible’s upholding of humanity’s common creation “in the image of God” (Genesis 1:26–27) can lay a foundation for mutual respect. In today’s global multifaith community, people will disagree about religious claims, but according to the Bible they can and should respect each other as creatures for whom God cares.
